give them names later love and peace

Uganda Gorillas

So happy all plans have working out, moving on tomorrow to Nkuringo, were will be visiting the Gorillas.  Today been asked by this old Swiss person for a lift half way to the park.  Has mentioned, he is living out here in Africa since 1962 came with the Swiss Ari Force, in Congo. Will be waiting in anticipation till the morning, for some exiting stories.
They have amazing markets in their towns; all the small and medium farmers bring their produce.  This little town has even an espresso machine, being sipping Americano coffees whenever in the area.
Enjoying my early evening chatting to the staff at Nkoringo Campsite talking about me having a child, dreamed about so over the years, if they could know how much.  Well understand their reasoning for having a child, bless them for the wishes. Like us back home, we have chosen English in Uganda and Kenya that is their language. In Tanzania Swahili is their main language for all 120 tribes and used at schools.  Africa seems to be make headway in uniting all tribes.
Another person from Sweden has joined the group for the Gorilla walk in the morning.  Nice vibrant an open person makes a difference when socializing with this type of person. Can hear some frogs croaking amongst the workers discussions, sure got to do with how much extra they have charged Jacob the Swede.
Gorillas just amazing, they have 97.6% same DNA as humans. Our goop was small, just only 4 of us, enough space for photos and attention form the guides.  The walk back was hectic, caught in the rain going up this steep mountainside.  The wildest moment of the day was a few of us were struck/shocked by the same lightning.  There was a woman was rushed off to hospital because her whole side was burnt.  What I experienced was electrical energy feel around my legs and when looked down could see bleu flash.
Did some serious mountain passes today, all good made it over and threw the Queen Elizabeth Park.  All the parks are boarding human settlements.  Just amazing how they live so close to each other personally do not think it working out so well.  The waterways are polluted with fertilizer, from crops planted for miles around the National Parks, and they all run into the streams and then the rivers
The car went so well, it is handling the roads so nicely, not bumps to big.  My roof top tent needs a little on the hinges, will see to that in the morning.
Found some bolts for the roof top tent and washing.  Spent the rest of the day reading, step work and hoped doing some, yoga would loosen my legs after the gorilla walk, still as stiff as anything.  Just taken shelter, the wind has picked up all it can mean is rain.
There are whole bunch of Swiss folk that have joined the campsite, form Kampala manage this orphanage must say what the world is really blessed with a whole lot of nice people.  Looking forward to my new approach to life, attending school at Applied Psychology in Plumbstead.  Might attend a English lessons on Grammar and studding techniques just to help me in my new world of being a student.
Been thinking allot on how fortunate and fair life has been, so grateful for all that I have experienced.
Left this morning form Kasese Northern Uganda, stayed at the Backpackers and Campsite, just living in my tent not to keen for other peoples beds.  This place is set on the foothills of the huge mountain range, they tell me the summit is 5400 meters above sea level.  Don not think that I ventured anywhere close to the top, just recouped from the previous day drive and did some clothes washing.  The establishments run by a Australian and it looks like he was a drill sergeant in his day of the Australian Army.  Shouting out orders left and right.  Reminded me of some arrogant racist South African, but felt for him, just needed love like all of us.  The funny thing he called me Boer, sounded better that the way you spell it because it came with an OZZZy accent. They way having the King Celebration to do with the local king, lots of banana leave on cars and bikes, not to mention lots of army and cops.
Moved towards Fort Portal what a beautiful place, spotless and makes the rest of the Ugandan town look like a tornado hit them.  Drove into the campsite, lovely setting, it sits on top of a crater that is a lake know.  All was good till found myself being anode with the staff members noise that were making around the campsite. Managed to keep all calm till the next morning, even then I wanted to leave but went down to the lake to chill and read a little.   But on my return back to the campsite mentioned that they tend to do allot more socializing than work.  They all jumped to their jobs as if they were my staff.  That was all good, but I felt un easy and decided to the campsite. That is when I realized I needed some of my own privacy.
Home here I come; thank God I did not sell my home, heeehaaa.  Happy days, summer in Cape Town, without working obligations.
If you have, been reading thanks for your love and excepting my world of Grammar and Spelling.
Do not stop I will add a little more pictures and some crossword puzzle stuff.
By know.

Kenya and Uganda

What nice day, sailed though the boarders and am chilling at the start of Nile River.  This beautiful river stars form out of Lake Victoria, it beautiful and the sun is warm the earth just be for it goes down. There are two overland trucks, at the campsite so a lot of movement, some young and tangible, there I go dreaming again.  Been inquiring about fishing and they say the river if full of the Nile Purch, we will see how full it is when I get fishing.  There is one friend in mind now is Mathew, he would be fish already not like writing daily experiences.
Ugandans’ are so friendly and show their appreciation towards us people from abroad.  The banks have not let us down so far on this trip just been sucking it out the ATMs.
Frustration levels with hustlers at the boarder reaching a high when leaving Kenya.  Uganda have a Barclays’ bank where we pay our road tax over to and just outside the doors they have money changers in YELLOW dustcoats offering there service, but zero harassments.  When you leave the border, area the people using their bicycles, as taxis are dressed with pink shirts.  Uganda has been making a big stink about GAY people and then all you see is pink, so funny.   I was all worked up from the crossing so did not stop for a picture, but will make a point leaving the country.
Got the fishing gear out, and filled the reels with some braid.  Realized that the front end of the gully rod was wrong, will have to by one when down in Mombasa.   Headed down to the river a as I fished threading the line through the eyes of the rod, to find and the rod broke in two places.   That did not stop the mission of fishing, got no bites but saw lots of fish jumping.  Nile Purch is game type fish.
Last night ran into Brenda from days back of the Qwa Qwa.  This world is so small, and full of good things.
Monday 4th heading to Kampala, got to missions looking for springs, fishing rod and bookings for the gorillas.  This time going to stay in town, because this heat is getting rather hard to do anything in, especially riding my bicycle into town.   Once again the Ugandans are so polite and friendly, working on the culture. They recon Rwanda is spotless, I will have to return in the near future to visit that part of Africa, I know I am close to Rwanda but still got long to go back down to the coast which I think will be rather special.
Kampala, what at place hectic traffic but people are just so happy for the opportunities they have, that is what I need to instill into my life, allot more appreciation.  There are so many UN, NGOs in this town.  They look to be servicing the neighboring countries, but one should be so grateful for what we have, and get more involved with development back home for our people, that love us.
Just consumed a great cup coffee, shopped in Shoprite and Game, it is just like back home.  Gorilla booking is for the 16th so exited.  Drove to Kayazanga, half way down to Lake Bunyonyi, just been told about this amazing island called Intambira.  They say so many birds, few cabins good food and just like paradise.   Met this other Dutch guy that works with autistic kids what a courier, should be so rewarding.  Feeling emotionally better, would like to blame it on the malaria tablets, but just know it is the mind playing up.
Staying at a Backpackers and Campsite last night and planning to stay whist, get the car fuel line fixed.  Yesterday on the way here, I must have lost at least 30 liters but as I always say, worst things can happen.  Eventually were stuck into giving the whole car a service, the oil was looking black but the plugs looked better.  Came into town for a little internet connection and got some great news, Johan Fruit is getting married, life so sweet I love it.
Had a lunch this afternoon on the second floor over looking this children homes, the one is called Children Recue Voluntary Organization and the other is Restore Lost Hope.   I am starting to realize this might be the calling for my near future, if my compassion will fill my heart, that that is what my new dream might be filled with.
We have so much need for this back in South Africa and were  else do I need to get involved but just outside of my door step.  HA
There is a storm building going to try to make a gap back to the campsite.  Chilled this evening working on some step work and eat light after today large lunch. Felling happy in many ways, even just had been told by anther tour operator my back left wheal is playing around, only hope that it is the rim or tyre not a bearing.  Getting the warm sleeping bag out and getting into some reading.  Let us not forget, I got the bad news about my tyre but full of good news about how great my trip will, after I received some highlight of my trip that due to embark, in the mountains of Uganda.
Woke up form a lovely warm sleep kept the warmth flowing with some nice coffee.  Read a little until the day warmed up, eat, and inspected the rear wheel of the car.  Thank God all good enjoyed some more reading and packed up.  Headed over the mountain and what an amazing lake 2000m above sea level.   Today was the local market, meaning all the villagers that live along the lakeshores come in and sell their produce and products.  The place was buzzing with activity.  Got the bedding into the sun, dried some clothes that did not managed to dry the day before.   Enjoyed some reading and a little afternoon snooze, after that did a little yoga then read some more and prepared me a fresh little salad.  My eats habits have become so good, feel so health physically.
The chill is in the air tonight again; guess the next week will be rather the same till I move up north again.
Got this amazing couple staying just next door to us, they in their early sixties.  Bought this brand new four-wheel drive Mercedes Benz truck and kitted out to with the finest finishes.  What nice people, open in nature, full of stories and loving life.  Had some great chats with them, and sure will have more in the morning.  They say there are pigmies on the lake living in the forest.  There are two big groups of them, imagine being amongst people that are not 3 foot tall.  Personally do not think that I will be heading out there, maybe will change plans and visit them.  Keep reading to see if mad contact with these little fellow.
Last night experience an eclectic thunderstorm, it was so powerful.  Was not scared but gave out a shrill occasionally.  When it use to rain when we kids, we had a saying like Lekkeeer sleeeppp, mainly shared with my brother Basil.
Kisoro is this town just on the border of Rwanda and Congo. Having this amazing time down her, met some nice people.  Form this town made my mind up to drive 500km back to Kampala to sort my suspension out that was meant to have been done whilst being there a week ago.
Dismuss this young manager of this establishment were I am resting my head, has driven back with me to Kampala, reckons he would like to with his Uncle whist I run around getting money back for this shocks that were useless and hopefully fix the my wheels.
Got money back from Dodge Company, funny the older springs were far better once they put them back on.  Went to Toyota Kampala looking for coils, and thank God the General Manager (Bobby) helped, after finding out they would only help me in 6 weeks.  Bobby made a few phone calls and soon was away to some good workshop.  Paulo this Ugandan Italian, made wonders with the car.  Two engine mountings, 4 shocks and two solid coil springs and lots of love.  Problems are solved, the rear end is sitting even with the front for the first time since took delivery form manufactures of the bumper and draw system.  Love the beast again, feels good running evenly, with the suspension back to even better than before.  Defiantly going on the way back going through Kampala to  get all my bushes done on the car.
Tomorrow off to Nkoringo to get close to the Gorillas and then move up North were its going to be warmer, and new.  Life is so sweet, and enjoy every moment of it.
WAIT FORM SOME GORILA SHOTS.

My new hair dresser - maybe fruit - Kenyan

Tanzania to Nairobi to Kisumu Lake Victoria

Left this morning for Nairobi, all well till realized I was having diesel served up for my car, and thanks God I realized it before I cracked her over.  Got all the fuel out, reimbursed, with love and head out of town.  I managed to stay calm and share love during this moment of being tested.
Cruised out of Tanzania, with smiles and entered Nairobi with so much love, amazing to be in Kenya.  This city is just happening, if you consider western life style the solution.  Everything is so modern, and were ever you look there are just smiles with the locals.  Staying at this campsite just out of town, but sort of in town, I think the city has just crept up around them.  Funny on the main gate he has a sign up, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR SALE.
There are a few other campers, from all sorts, Christian type and odds and sods.
25th Saturday, got up brushed my teeth, and found a place for my meditation.  My first posture is the cleansing breath.  I remember doing the first one and then I was in the hedge 5m from my mat, trying to get my balance.   Thank God I did not get seriously hurt, beside a scratch above eye and arms.  The stretch involves in raising your arms above your head and holding your breath and the lowering you head in between your legs and exhaling.  But I thing I have added another step to it, hedge butting.
Got my hair cut by a local Kenyan in the Yaya mall had to have a picture taken with him for it was the first Black brother who snipped me.   Must say as good as any other hair dresser I have been too and if I was a local I would be back to him.  Life looks good in Kenya, sad that the Lonely Planet, sales the worse of the country, just like they do with us back home in SA.
On the move again, it’s Sunday 26th September.  Had some coffee and pastries at the Junction Centre once filled up with fuel and checked air pressure.  Said goodbye to the other people that were with us form the campsite and head off.   One the main reasons of leaving today was to miss the traffic, not a chance straight into a traffic jam.  Nairobi is so big, and such a happening place so happy for the Kenyans.
I was pulled over for speeding, 61km/h in a 50 zone.  Got the break down by the officer with the radar and shown to a woman traffic officer on the other side of the road.  Started hearing how I had to pay for the fine, and appear in court within a week otherwise I would forfeit the money and a warrant was going to be made out for me.  Once I explained I did not want to do anything, wrong in Kenya I opted to change my traveling plans and appear in court.  This senior police officer came closer and must have signaled to the officer, because suddenly she told us that she was going to forgive us and gave my driver licenses and I was out of there. I have a little challenge to achieve a clean record from having not to bribe on the holidays.
Spent the first night at a campsite, just out of the park and it was great had a hot shower, and meal for R150.00.   The first gate was not far from the camp, and it was not long before the plains were alive with Wildebeests and Zebras, it was there in front of us, the real thing.  When got the Mara River crossing, one could see the migration was happening, the liver was full of Wildebeests bodies, and the smell filled the area around the river.  The Malibu Storks and vouchers were all over the bodies.  Had look at big crock half in the water, lying and enjoying the sun with a full bell of food.  The first drive was down alongside the river; you could see dead bodies alongside the river banks were the river crossing was happening.   After a little lunch headed down for a drive alongside the Boarder of the Tanzania and Kenya, the same thing was like the morning, animals covering all the plains, it so amazing to have experience it must say life is a sweet journey most of the times.  Cuddle into my tent, because we had a little evening shower and writing this on my little TV tray my mate Mark gave.
Got up this morning for an early morning drive, back along the river hopefully for some last river crossing before I leave the Mara.  On the way back, stopped for some last good photo shots of these big herds of animals and did the wrong thing stepped out of my car, to get a better view.  Landed me a R1000.00 fine, but insisted on a slip, negative but life gives us ups and down, and thank God I have more ups.
Drove to Kisimu on Lake Victoria this is a happening town.  The campsite is so cool, owned by some India Folk and feel just at home.  Today yoga session was successful, did not pass out.  I feel much better for it, and feel even better with life knowing that physically I am cool.
Nice to have toilets that do not smell and hot water shower in, you need it at times when you do not get it for a while.
Had some dinner tonight and managed to eat just to feel good and stopped in time before I felt bloated, this is my new way of life, no more glutting you can say the same way I said I have enough to stop working and do something else in my life.  The reason why am talking about this is that the Verse 9 the Tau Luz mentions this way of life/desires.  Just got my update of Map Source so happy it works like a dreams and am so keen to get on the way, should be there by the weekend.
Did some work on the car today such a balancing, wheel aliment and cleaned the carburetor.  Looks like springs will find once back in Nairobi, will try in Kampala otherwise will drive slowly so not to destroy the car.  The people at the workshop worked on the gearbox mounting, and we could not find another new one and I must say they pulled a move and swopped my mounting.  Just pray that it is only paranoia and that they did nothing of that sort.  Got underneath the car, to look and there was not much one could see, the mounting rubber felt soft that all.
Stay well and chat soon
Cheers
